AKS and the City of Hillsboro Parks & Recreation celebrated the opening of the new Century Oaks Neighborhood Park. The mayor and city councilors attended the June 22, 2019 ribbon cutting event. The park is surrounded by natural habitat areas. In addition, the park incorporates many organic play features, like climbing boulders and an outdoor classroom area with log seating. Other amenities include a climbing structures, public restrooms, a covered picnic shelter, and individual picnic areas. A lighted trail system connects the park to the nearby community and school.
