As part of a community-led project to create a memorial in honor of all fallen veterans of foreign wars from the greater Battle Ground area, AKS volunteered to provide civil engineering, surveying, and landscape architecture services to help make this project a reality. Based on public input, one of AKS’ concept plans was chosen to be the final design of the memorial, and AKS worked with the City Parks, Public Works, and Planning Departments to assist in the design process. Constructed completely based on volunteer time, donations, and community effort, the memorial was dedicated on Veterans Day in 2015.
