Our Work

City of Sherwood Columbia Street Fish Passage Mitigation Project

The new regional stormwater facility on Columbia Street required a 200-foot-long bore under a live railroad to provide a secondary culvert outflow. Because the culverts under the railroad could not accommodate fish passage, AKS was contracted to develop an innovative off-site fish passage project with extensive coordination between the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, City, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Clean Water Services, and Department of State Lands.
